Long before Burnaby became a City in 1992, it was divided into three areas:

  1. North Burnaby
  2. South Burnaby
  3. East Burnaby

Those numbers corresponded to Burnaby’s three Postal Zones. East Burnaby’s mail was addressed to Burnaby 3, B.C. before Postal Zones were phased out during the early 1970s to make way for Postal Codes such as V3N 1Y1.

I spent the 1950s and 1960s growing up in East Burnaby, then another six years in South Burnaby before leaving British Columbia behind in search of work. Today, Burnaby is less formally divided into a larger number of neighbourhoods, of which East Burnaby is one.

There is much more here than just Burnaby-related material:

  1. The Vancouver area while I was there (mid-1950s to mid-1970s)
  2. The Edmonton area since I arrived (mid-1970s)
  3. Radio (my passion)
  4. Computing (my career until I retired in 2007)
  5. Tips & Tools

You will find both What I Like now, as well as information on the Past, in the form of both Stories and details on what is now Gone.
